SAUNA BY GOBOAT
During the winter of 2021/2022, Copenhageners as well as tourists have been able to experience GoBoat’s sauna pop-up in the center of Copenhagen. After a succesful first season, the sauna has now been moved to GoBoat in Berlin. However, we can already unveil that Sauna by GoBoat will return to Denmark again next autumn!
With Sauna by GoBoat, we rethink the Scandinavian sauna tradition, where you get all the joys of being one with the water in a safe and aesthetic setting. The customized floating sauna is designed in a Scandinavian spirit with beautiful, bright and sustainable wood.

What you need to know about Sauna by GoBoat
We can not (yet) reveal Sauna by GoBoat’s winter 2022/2023 location – sign up for our newsletter and you will be among the first to hear more.
The sauna has a capacity of max 12 persons. The price is the same regardless of the number of people. When you could need to cool down, you can use the Russian shower located right next to the sauna.
The new concept makes room for everyone – from the most experienced sauna enthusiast to the beginner, who wish to enjoy the view of the nature in aesthetic surroundings.
Aesthetics, respect for the surroundings and environment are values that have always been close to us Danes. With the sauna, it is possible for Copenhageners and turists to enjoy the view to the city’s beautiful surroundings in the winter period.
Sauna is about community, well-being and contact with nature. The sauna experience is often equal to quality time and togetherness. You will step into a breathing space in the big city’s busy life. Enjoy the sauna with friends and truly relax in aesthetic settings.
According to sygeforsikring.dk, going in sauna has benefits such as relaxing the body’s muscles and greater blood flow, which can lower blood pressure. Moreover, the sauna experience is directly connected to well-being and a sense of doing something great for yourself.
We cherish the sustainable experience in order to make as few impressions on the nature and the aquatic environment as possible.
Therefore, during the years we have developed our own boats, which have created new standards for sustainable experiences on the water. The floating sauna is the worlds first catamaran hull structured boat build in organic bio composite from 30% flax linen and 70% basalt. That is highly innovative material with minimal impact on the environment and with a long life.
The sauna is built by GoBoat’s sister company SEANICS and supported by VELUX and Innovationsfonden.
GoBoat and sauna on the water
The cornerstones for GoBoat was founded by Anders, Carl and Kasper in 2013 and already in 2014, the first sustainable boats arrived in Copenhagen Harbour. Today you will find GoBoat in Aalborg, Odense, and four locations in Australia, three in London, one in Sweden, and one in Germany.
The next step towards making the water accessible for everyone is to exploit the colder months where there are less sailing guests. The concept of a floating sauna is an obvious possibility to offer sustainable experiences on the water all year round.
